Beneath the beautiful music and richly imagined space, a powerful sense of presence could be felt at Scott and Jen’s wedding—the sacred awareness of two people joining their faith in a covenant of hope, the witness of a community showering their blessing and creativity, and the sweet child-like joy of each experiencing the other.

Scott and Jen, you are beautiful together and it was a blessing to capture your wedding!

I love seeing mundane things get filled with joy. Josh took this to a new level with his proposal—hiding a group of 31 friends incognito on a Seattle Metro Bus then serenading Aleya with vocal backup from the rest of the group. The bus driver stopped to give Aleya a hug, everyone else made sure to see the ring, and I’m still grinning.

Nice work Josh, and congratulations to you both!

Rather than a formal portrait session, hanging out with William (who happens to be my brother-in-law) just felt like a fun afternoon walking through the park and exploring Seattle. He’s a great guy with a passion for theater and classic musicals (someone’s got to do it!). I hope these pictures capture a bit of his quirky personality and sincere heart.

Will – you’re awesome!
