Good Friends in Wild Places
The Olympic Peninsula is one of the most amazing places on our planet. It’s great on sunny summer days, but it is fiercest and wildest in the winter. During our pacific northwest snowmageddon, I went camping with some brave souls who were crazy enough to face the weekend in wind, waves, flood warnings, falling trees, ice, rain, sea foam, and snow.
The first few pictures are from Rialto Beach, and the last few are from First Beach a few minutes drive away.

Brian Smith and Kate Meinig – Lummi Island Wedding Photography
When Kate and Brian first contacted me about photographing their wedding on Lummi Island, I immediately got excited about capturing their day in a place close to my heart. (I grew up looking out at the San Juans from my bedroom window and doing kayak/sailing trips through the islands each summer). They held an intimate ceremony and reception at the Willows Inn, which is one of the most beautiful and unpretentious venues I’ve had the opportunity to work at. Throughout the day I loved witnessing Brian and Kate’s quirky unassuming love for each other and their community. Here’s to a beautiful life together!

Elliot and Julia – Seattle Engagement Photos
After seeing her brother’s engagement pictures Julia and her fiancé Elliot decided to book an engagement session with me at Discovery Park. The weather was the warmest day so far this year, which made jumping in the ocean relatively comfortable. It was an honor to capture their quiet playful love for each other.
